The Mental Health First Aid training course through the MN Safety Council focused on best practices to provide support to coworkers struggling with mental health concerns. It included guidance on identifying concerns, directing people to support resources, and what to do in a crisis situation. It also included information about self care for those providing support to others. I think this was an excellent class with a focus on coworkers. The Safety Council also has classes on Mental Health First Aid to teens and family. I think it would be worth looking into ways to bring this program to the region for others to take. Thanks for giving me the chance to take part!
