I got the opportunity to go to the 2025 MLA conference because of Prairielands! At this event I listened to multiple different speakers about different topics. I learned about book bans and how it makes an impact to library users, understanding the importance a library has in a community, and how to bring more patrons to use Libby. Each session was around 45 to 60 minutes each. My favorite session was the book ban session. It brought us through the history and how it has only gotten worse. A lot of organizations took place in it that I never would have thought would. I had a wonderful experience and would love to go back in a few years!
