MLA 2025
Cultivating Connections:
Stronger Together
MLA 2025 sent me back to my library energized and full of new ideas. This year I think the topic of Cultivating Connections was perfect. The Stronger Together component reminds me that we are only better when we work together. I truly believe this, and it is a common theme in my work and my life.
What I am excited about:
That All My Read-MN Braille and Talking Book Library was a great session to update us all on what they have to offer. They really do have a lot. I am very impressed with this organization’s commitment and work on getting as much material available in so many formats. I can hardly wait to share all this with my patrons and local organizations.
Farm to Library: Growing a Partnership with your local Agricultural Organization. I am so impressed with what Calla has done for her library and is simply an inspiration to the rest of us. I plan to take a page from her experience and do a little something myself. Thank you so much to Calla for sharing all of this with us, including her agricultural trivia questions. Simply put, a FABULOUS idea!
Dewey Makes No Sense! Re-organizing Non-Fiction sections that are affirming, intuitive, and enticing. This just makes so much more sense! It was the fastest session I ever went to as I was just intrigued by the inspiration and out of the box thinking.
