My time at the Minnesota Library Association conference was incredibly valuable. I attended nine sessions over two days on a variety of topics, but I focused on adult programming and marketing/branding. I came away with a lot of great ideas for adult programming in the library, some of which I am planning to try in the next month or so. One of the programs I’m most excited to try is Bad Art Night, where you gather all your leftover craft supplies and ask participants to create the worst piece of art they can. I want to do more programs like this that bring community members together to do something enjoyable. I am grateful for the opportunity to attend MLA and to make these connections with other librarians across Minnesota. It was a wonderful experience!
