I took two courses during spring semester at St. Cloud State University. One course was Reading Guidance for Young Adults (Information Media 625). This course focused on reading for the young adult student. Many books were read and discussed in class. I decided to get a number of these books for KMS’ High School media center. Research projects and presentations were given on YA authors. Essential YA resources were discussed in depth. Selection policies were discussed, important components were debated, and the policies were updated. Book and movie comparison papers and presentations were also given.
