Libraries: Stronger Together 2019 MLA Conference at Mystic Lake Center was great. My first session was 40 in 50 Non-fiction Book Blast, it was great to learn about some non-fiction books that I might not be familiar with. From Good to Amazing? Evaluating and Improving Library Programs gave us information on how to evaluate our programs so that we can then improve the next program. Expand Your collection to the Stars was really interesting and informative on starting a program with telescopes and astronomy. Collaborate, Create, Inspire: Bringing the Community Together with Art and Music was interesting about their open mic program once a month. And of course Census 2020: What Libraries Need to Know was very informative as to what we can expecting the next few months with the Census approaching. The keynote speaker Secretary of State Steve Simon gave a great speech on voting in Minnesota.
Thanks to Prairieland for the opportunity to attend MLA 2019.
