I’ve attended Camp Read-A-Lot for several years, and this was one of the best yet! David La Rochelle was an inspiring speaker, and the book talks with librarians and teachers were really helpful. I especially appreciated hearing how other librarians will use the books in their programs and the type of patron who may like each particular book. On day two, John Coy spoke about his journey as a writer and his current projects. He was very interesting as well – an engaging communicator and so personable. Of course I always look forward to receiving free books at the end of the day, and this year I was pleasantly surprised when I received several of my favorites. This is a great workshop that really energizes me and gives me great ideas to use at school.
