This was my first year attending Camp Read-A-Lot and it was a great experience. I went to the Early Reader day. Laura Purdie Salas was an interesting and engaging speaker. Her poetry activities in the afternoon gave me some new ideas for future library programming. The picture book reading list has been an excellent resource. I enjoyed a majority of the titles and found some new authors and illustrators to check out. I really enjoyed the discussion part of the day. It was interesting to hear other people’s perspectives on the books and get new ideas for ways to use the books. Everyone involved did an amazing job!
